61% of respondents in the lighting industry expect overall sales to increase in the next 12 to 24 months, while another 61% believe that artificial intelligence is the driving force behind future industry growth

The 26th Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair (Autumn Lantern Fair), the 9th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Technology Lighting Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and the 19th International Environmental Expo, jointly organized by HKTDC, Frankfurt Exhibition (Hong Kong) Limited, and co organized by the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, have successfully concluded. The three exhibitions attracted a total of about 60000 buyers from 150 countries and regions to visit and purchase, demonstrating Hong Kong's position as an international conference and exhibition center.

Zhang Shufen, Vice President of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, said, "Earlier, the Hong Kong SAR government's policy address proposed multiple measures to enhance the status of Hong Kong as a trading center. The three exhibitions have created a cross industry procurement platform for global buyers, creating synergies and attracting a total of about 60000 buyers to visit, with ideal increases from Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Italy, and the Netherlands. The International Environmental Expo also welcomed many new buyer groups from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates, indicating that ASEAN and Middle Eastern buyers consider Hong Kong as an important trading and procurement platform. Several exhibitions have further consolidated the role of Hong Kong as a trading center and promoted green and low-carbon development



Product Trends and Industry Prospects

During the Autumn Lantern Festival and Outdoor and Technological Lighting Expo, the conference commissioned an independent research agency to interview over 710 exhibitors and buyers. The survey results show that the industry is optimistic about the outlook, with 61% of respondents expecting overall sales to increase in the next 12 to 24 months, while 34% expect overall sales to remain stable.


In traditional markets, they are mainly optimistic about Australia and the Pacific Islands (74%), South Korea (72%), and Taiwan (57%); In emerging markets, the industry is mainly optimistic about the Middle East (88%), Latin America (80%), and Russia (64%).



In terms of product trends, 61% of respondents believe that artificial intelligence is the driving force for future industry growth. Respondents believe that in the next two years, intelligent lighting has the greatest potential for development in energy-saving lighting control solutions (43%), followed by home automation and intelligent lighting control systems (36%), wireless lighting control systems (27%), and outdoor intelligent security lighting systems (26%).
